The Mayoress

Mrs. Dagmar Szabados has held the position of Mayoress of the town of Halle since the 1st of May 2007. She has been voted Mayoress for a period of five years.

As the Mayoress she is the head of the Halle Town Administrative Authority, which employs approximately 2470 members of staff. In addition to this her position also makes her the connecting person between the town council and administrative department and she is also responsible for carrying out council decisions. With her position of Mayoress she represents the town of Halle (Saale) both within Germany and abroad.

Furthermore, the Mayoress is a member of various regional and nationwide committees. To name a few of her activities she is the chairwoman of the supervisory board of the Technology and Business Incubator Halle (TBI) general meeting, chairwoman of the Bio-Centre general meeting, chairwoman of the Paul-Riebeck-Foundation Halle an der Saale and a member of the German Conference of Municipal Authorities Social Services Committee.
